The Most Anticipated Knitting Events of 2025! Part One

 


Let's take time to explore upcoming events for the year of 2025. While most knitters are introverts, who wish to cuddle on the couch with their project, socialization is necessary. I know it seems unfair, but that's the human experience we're forced into. On the bright side, some of the people on this planet are fiber enthusiasts. So follow me on a metaphorical journey, as we go through some upcoming knitting events. 

A few disclaimers: I'm only featuring the USA events, because that's where I'm from. The vast majority of my readers also come from the USA. Therefore, it only makes sense for me to cover those events. Next, I'm only going to list a few events, because there's a lot going on throughout the year, and I can't cover it all. So if you don't see your favorite event listed, that's why. Finally, I'm going to break it up into parts. This is part One, which will cover January and February.

Okay, ready? Here's what's happening in January:

  • Starting on the 10 - 11, is the 21st annual Distaff day. Happening at Wyndham Orlando Resort & Conference Center/Celebration Orlando, FL 

  • Starting on the 16 - 19, Vogue Knitting Live. Happening at Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York, NY

February:  

  • Starting 2 - 4, Textile Center Garage Sale. Happening at Textile Center, Minneapolis, MA

How I Plan My Projects for 2025!

    My current WIP. This an alteration of the Becker throw by Norma Ndlovu.  Every year I like to plan out my fiber projects, and 2025 is no exception. Some might find this to be a daunting or tedious task, but it doesn't have to be. In fact, I dare say, it can be quite fun. The only things better than fiber art is thinking about fiber art. Browsing through the project pages of Ravelry, or scouring the internet for those beloved patterns.
